“Dueling Banjo” Competition – June 23, 2012 – Long Creek, SC
40 years ago, a scene in the movie Deliverance depicting Billy Redden playing a banjo and Ronny Cox playing a guitar became one of the most recognized scenes in movie history. In commemoration of Deliverance, you’ll hear banjo music once again! We invite banjo players far and wide to enter our “Dueling Banjo” competition! Contest is open to anyone except those who are performing as a billed or paid entertainer at the Chattooga River Festival.
